Ginger Gem!

Just a little note to say thank you to the guys over at Gingersnap for choosing me as a Ginger Gem!  Woohoo!  What an honour and very much appreciated.  That was a lovely way to brighten a thoroughly miserable day in NW England.
I’m busy for the next few days but I’ll try to visit the other Gingers as soon as I can.

Update – I was chosen again – woohoo!  Didn’t want to post again, so thought I’d just say thank you here to the Gingers.  Very much appreciated 🙂

Friends Blog Award

Friends_Blog_Award[1]

Just found that I’ve been given an award by the lovely Anne E!! Thank you Anne – very much appreciated.

I need to pass this onto six people – h’mm, too difficult to choose right now, but I’ll give it some thought and get back to it.

Thanks again!

Kreativ Blogger award…

Thanks to Vix for a wonderful award – given a couple of weeks ago but I simply haven’t had chance to get on here to post about it. Sorry, Vix but thank you very much indeed.

Rules for this one are:-

1) Thank the person who nominated you for this award
2) Copy the logo and place it on your blog
3) Link the person who nominated you for this award
4) Name 7 things about yourself people might find interesting
5) Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers
6) Post links to the seven blogs you nominate
7) Leave comments on all 7 blogs letting them know you nominated them

Seven things you may find interesting? Oo-er – don’t think there ARE 7 interesting things about me, but here goes…

1) After 16 years of being brought up a Catholic, I became a Christian – the most important thing that ever happened to me.

2) I used to sing and play guitar.

3) I have two grown up sons, Tony – aged 33 and Phillip, aged 32.

4) The thesis I chose to do for my Degree was ‘The Character of Lancelot (as depicted in the books we’d read in the Arthurian Literature module of Medieval French)’.

5) I’m a big Fantasy and Historical Fantasy Literature fan.

6) In other lives… I was a civil servant, a trained optical assistant, a PA, a French teacher and an Instructor/Assessor of IT, Keyskills & Basic skills AND of course, for almost 10 years, I was the owner of Katy’s Corner, selling rubber stamps and stamping accessories.

7) I’m currently working towards a Maths GCSE – failed the mock when 15 and didn’t need it for French, so never did it. Now, I want to retrain to teach Modern Languages in Primary School, so I need it. I HATE it with a vengeance.

The seven people I nominate for this award are:-

1) Lottie who loves crafting and loves to try out new things. Her egg hatching activity is interesting, too!

2) Neet who is incredibly versatile and creative!

3) Anke whose use of colour is really inspiring!

4) Dot whose colouring is incredible and who has some fab ideas!

5) Sylvia whose work has always been so precise, so creative and so inspiring!

6) Chris who loves trying out new techniques and has a lovely style!

7) Wendy who is very creative and very versatile!

Hope you enjoy visiting these inspiring blogs and thanks again to Vix for honouring me with this award.

New Award – Wow!

awardjadore

I’ve been given a Blog award by Donna – thank you VERY much, Donna. I’m supposed to tell you my five favourite things and choose ten people to give the award to, so here goes… gosh it’s hard to whittle this down to five!!

FIVE FAVOURITE THINGS

    1. Wild birds and especially baby birds, but nature in general
    2. U2. I love their music because most of what they sing about seems to be relevant to me
    3. Stamping – I had lots of hobbies until I started stamping but I’m afraid it took over my life. One of the best things I ever discovered and I now have loads of lovely stamping friends, both online and IRL.
    4. Anything French. I lived in France for a short time but have always been a bit of a Francophile and adore the language.
    5. Being with friends. I’m blessed to have some really, really close friends and I’m always happy just to be with them.

Now for naming 10 blogs which inspire me. Not difficult to do, really, but hard to choose between them. So I’m afraid I’m going to have to come back to that, as I’m just about to go out…..

Thanks again, Donna!

Makes My Heart Smile Award

OOh, I’ve been given an award by Jenny and I’m thrilled to bits! Not just thrilled, but amazed that someone actually likes what I do enough to give the award to me. I just like to play with colour and really don’t know what I’m doing, so this really is an honour.

The rules state that I have to nominate 10 blogs that ‘Make me Smile’ so I’ll do that as soon as I can, but not right now, as I’m busy with other things.

Thanks very much, Jen! I’m overawed 🙂
