Less is More Week 42 #2

Well, since I messed up last time and this has almost become a black and white challenge (with a hint of colour, lol) I thought I’d make some more cos I love black and white and especially with a hint of colour!  This is the first of the batch – more to follow when I finish them off.

This is actually one of my favourite images but I don’t use it a lot because it’s big. I wanted the appearance of a sun setting low in the sky (yes, I’m into setting suns at the moment, can you tell?), so I sponged the sun (through a circle stencil) after I’d stamped and clear embossed the silhouette stamp.

I would normally add some more sky colour in pinks, blues and greys, but since this is LESS IS MORE, I’ll leave the white space!

  1. gorgeous – a great CS styled card!I don´t own this great stamp, but a friend of mine lend it to me a couple of months ago. I made some prints of it and then ( because you wrote that the stamp ist very big – i write this now) I decided to cut the motiv in two pieces .. then you can have two fantastic ATCs with!(sorry for my bad english -)xxxx Susi

  2. Sorry, I put a comment on the wrong card. I didn't see the comment link at the top of the page. This is a stunning card and I love the sun behind the trees. Your Inkadinkado card is also beautiful. Sue.x

  3. My goodness – your creative talent just pours out of you – your cards are awesome – I really adore all your different techniques and you sense of colouring is something that I could never aspire too – but enjoy visiting and drooling over yours. Your latest 'less is more' are just – well phenomenal – such simple colour schemes make a huge impact! What can I say about your Explosion of colour scheme on your journal pages. Drop dead gorgeous and by uploading the bigger photos of each page the colours and the texture really show – incredible!

  4. These are just beautiful! Love what you've done with that circle and ink… if these are not a good visual for why we love stamping, I don't know what is. Off to check out LIM. Thanks for the nudge!
